01The basics
What is Miko?
Miko runs the real coding CLIs, such as Claude Code and Codex, on a machine of your own: yours in our cloud, or your own server. Close your laptop and they keep working. Every account sits side by side, and one Needs you inbox tells you which agent is waiting, so you can answer from your phone.
How much does Miko cost?
Miko Starter is $29 a month: a cloud machine that runs a lead + 2 agents, plus your own computers. Miko Cloud is an always-on machine of your own, with room for many agents: 16 GB for $79, 32 GB for $139 or 64 GB for $249 a month (64 GB is limited at launch). Launch offer: sign up in the first 30 days after launch and your first month is half price: Starter regular price $29 $14.50, Cloud 16 GB regular price $79 $39.50 and Cloud 32 GB regular price $139 $69.50, then the regular price. Not on Cloud 64 GB. Enterprise is on request. AI usage isn't included: you bring your own Claude or ChatGPT account, or an API key. Compare plans for disk sizes and everything included.
What's the difference between Starter and Cloud?
Only the machine: every plan has every feature. Starter's machine (4 GB) runs a lead + 2 agents and rests when there's nothing to do. Cloud machines (16, 32 or 64 GB) are always on, with memory encrypted by the processor (AMD SEV-SNP) and room for about 10–60 agents. On your own computers you run as many agents as they can handle.
Where does my code run?
On the machine you choose: your Miko Cloud machine, your own server, or your Mac with the Mac app. The CLIs talk to their own providers. If you turn on the optional DeepSeek research assistant in the Mac app, it sends project source to DeepSeek.
Is Miko a wrapper around a chat API?
No. Every pane runs the provider's own CLI in a real terminal, so you get the interface and commands you already know, side by side.
Is there a free trial?
No. Instead there is a launch offer: subscribe in the first 30 days after launch and your first month is half price, so $14.50 instead of $29, or $39.50 instead of $79. After that you pay the normal monthly price. A card is required. The offer covers Starter, Cloud 16 GB and Cloud 32 GB, not Cloud 64 GB.
Which platforms are supported?
Miko Cloud, Miko Connect for your own Linux servers, VPS and PCs, and a web app that works in any browser. The Mac app runs your agents on your own Mac, with Apple silicon recommended. Miko for iPhone pairs with the web app or the Mac app: get notified and answer Needs you.
Do you use Miko yourselves?
Funny thing – we actually built Miko using Miko. Miko Cloud is being built by coding agents running in the Miko app.
Is Miko built with Miko?
Yes. Our own agents build Miko with Miko, the product and this site: thousands of agents, thousands of agent-hours and tens of billions of tokens so far, with dozens of agents at work at once.
02Miko Cloud
How many agents can I run?
As a rough guide: Miko Cloud 16 GB fits about 10–15 agents actively building, or 30+ waiting on Claude. 32 GB fits about 20–30, or 60+. 64 GB fits about 40–60, or 120+. Starter's cloud machine runs a lead + 2 agents. Heavy builds and large dev servers use more memory, and on your own machines it depends on the machine. How many agents work at the same time also depends on the usage limits of your AI plans.
What hardware does Miko Cloud run on?
4th Gen AMD EPYC™ (Zen 4) server processors or newer, never the older 7000 series, with DDR5 ECC memory and mirrored NVMe storage. Memory is never oversold, and your isolated machine can use up to 8, 16 or 24 vCPU depending on the plan, shared fairly so one busy neighbour can't take over. The spec table lists each plan.
Is there a traffic limit?
Miko Cloud includes 1 TB of traffic a month and Starter 250 GB, under fair use. Above that your machine keeps running and its connection is slowed until the next month, with no extra charge. We let you know at 80%.
Where does my Miko Cloud machine run?
In North America at launch. Customers outside North America are welcome: typing and sending feel instant thanks to local echo, and responses travel about 100 ms further from Europe. An EU region is coming.
How does the price compare with other clouds?
Miko Cloud 16 GB is $79 a month with the whole platform. Contabo 24 GB at $22.70 and OVHcloud 24 GB at $27.50 cost less. Not the same product: a bare VPS you run yourself. The comparison page shows how they differ, row by row. The same size of machine on its own, with no platform, costs more: DigitalOcean $84, AWS Lightsail $84, Google Cloud $102.84, AWS EC2 $113.79 and Hetzner (US) $142.09. AWS Lightsail memory-optimized, with 2 vCPUs, costs less at $74. At agent platforms and app clouds, one 16 GB machine left on all month costs $110.51 at Fly.io Machines, $153.50 at Northflank, $237.50 at Render, $251.34 at Railway, $266.30 at GitHub Codespaces, $339.93 at Daytona, $486.38 at E2B, $487.65 at Modal, $489.55 at Blaxel, $697.15 at Islo and $999.14 at Vercel Sandbox, and boat.dev ($52.56, EU only) and exe.dev ($75) cost less. Prices checked October 15, 2026 (sources).
How is my Cloud machine protected?
Your machine's memory is encrypted by the processor (AMD SEV-SNP), with a key that never leaves the chip, and the connection between your apps and your machine is end-to-end encrypted, so our gateway can't read your terminals. Miko Cloud only opens with both in place. Starter's cloud machine is isolated too, with the same end-to-end encryption; SEV-SNP is part of the Miko Cloud plans. Disks are encrypted too, and you can export everything or delete your machine and all its data at any time.
03Accounts and AI usage
Which CLIs can I run?
Claude Code, Codex, Grok Build and more, each in a real terminal. Every account signs in through the provider's own login, or with your own API key.
Do I pay for AI usage through Miko?
No. Miko never sells model usage. You bring your own Claude or ChatGPT account, or an API key, and sign in to each provider yourself. Your usage stays on your plan with that provider.
Do I need API keys?
No. In Miko Cloud, on your own servers and in the Mac app, you sign in through each provider's own login, and the token stays on your machine. You can use an API key instead. A key goes into that CLI's own setup on your machine.
Can I connect several accounts?
Yes. Add every account you use, such as personal, work and a side project, give each a name and sign in through the provider's own login. Each one gets its own usage meter with a countdown to its reset. A Miko account is for one person.
What happens to the logins already on my machine?
Nothing. Each account signs in fresh, through the provider's own login, in its own private profile, and the token stays on your machine. Credentials that are already there are never read or imported.
04In the Mac app
How do I get the Mac app?
Join the waitlist and we'll email you an invite. Apple silicon is recommended.
Do agents ask before running commands?
In the Mac app, Codex and Claude Code terminals start with full access and no approval prompts, so agents can edit files and run commands in their workspace without asking. Other CLIs keep their own prompts. Point Miko at projects you trust, and use Emergency stop to halt everything at once.
What can Miko mode do?
In the Mac app, tell Miko what you are working on and it plans the work and delegates pieces to Codex and Claude Code terminals on your accounts. For bigger goals, project runs add research, written plans and review before each step is accepted. Other CLIs are not delegated yet.
Can agents hand work to each other?
Yes, with you in the loop. Open a finished reply in Needs you and choose Hand off… to send it to an idle terminal in the same workspace, to continue, review or unblock the work. Nothing is sent until you press Send, and a review comes back to Needs you, linked to the original.
Who is the little star?
That's Miko. It sits in a corner of the app, waves when a terminal has a reply or a question, and See reply takes you straight to it in Needs you. Drag it anywhere you like.
Close your laptop. Your agents keep going.
