Miko for Mac
What Miko does in the Mac app.
You can click through each part below.
The Mac app, part by part
Needs you
A question? Answer it right here.
When an agent stops to ask, its title bar gets an amber badge and the question lands in Needs you. Try answering this one.
- One inbox. Questions from every project in one list, questions first.
- A ping, not a hunt. Codex questions bring a macOS notification and a soft ping, even with Miko in the background. Other terminals chime in the app.
- Answer in place. Answer Codex questions right in Needs you and the agent carries on. Other terminals open with one click.
Accounts and usage
Every account. Usage at a glance.
See where each account stands before you start the next terminal.
- Live usage. Each account shows how much of its usage window is left and when it resets, updated on its own.
- Personal, work, side project. Add every account you use, give each a name and sign in through the provider's own login.
- Know before it runs out. A low account says so, with a countdown to its reset. You choose where the next terminal starts.
Spawn
A full team. One click.
Pick a workspace, set a count per account or load a saved team, then start the whole batch at once.
- Saved teams. Save any mix of Claude Code, Codex and Grok terminals, with roles and starting briefs if you like. Spawn still checks sign-in, usage and capacity.
- Accounts start together. Every account boots at once instead of one after another.
- Real progress. Each row shows its actual stage and time, and an account that needs to sign in again waits for you.
Result previews
Read the reply. Pass it on.
When an agent finishes, its reply lands in Needs you in its own card, while your terminals keep running. Read it, then hand it to another agent to continue or review.
- See reply. Codex shows its latest agent message. Other CLIs show the terminal excerpt from the moment they notified you, clearly labelled.
- Hand off or review. Send the result to an idle terminal in the same workspace to continue, review or unblock it. A review comes back to Needs you, linked to the original.
- Nothing stored twice. Excerpts stay in memory and a new turn replaces the card. The transcript stays with the CLI.
Miko mode
Tell Miko the goal. It runs the team.
Switch to Miko mode and say what you are working on. Miko plans it and hands the pieces to Codex and Claude Code terminals on your accounts. For bigger goals, project runs research, plan and review every step.
- One conversation. Talk to Miko about the whole project. The terminal underneath is one click away.
- A team on cards. Every delegated piece gets a card with its account and status. Open any of them to watch it work.
- Reviewed before it counts. In project runs, workers report back with evidence and each step is reviewed before Miko accepts it.
Layouts
Tiled when it's busy. Yours when it isn't.
New terminals tile themselves into a clean grid. Switch to saved free placement and drag panes wherever you want them. Try dragging one by its title.
- Tiled terminals. Every new terminal finds its place, with no placement animations to wait for.
- Saved free placement. Drag and resize panes by hand. The arrangement is saved for that project.
- Nexus theme. Slate and lime colors for the whole window, without touching your layout.
Control
One button. Everything stops.
Emergency stop halts every agent at once, and they stay stopped.
- Survives a relaunch. Nothing restarts, even after you quit and reopen, until you press Unlock.
- Pause a project. Gentler: queued tasks wait while running work and your own terminals carry on.
- Keeps working. Close Miko and your terminals keep running in its background runtime. Open it again to pick up where they are.
Miko for iPhone
Your agents, in your pocket.
Your machines keep doing the work. Your phone keeps you in the loop on your Claude accounts.
- Answer from anywhere. Claude questions from every workspace come with a badge. Reply, or send a terminal its next instruction.
- Spawn from your phone. Start terminals on your Claude accounts. Sign-in stays on your machine.
- Paired privately. On your Mac or in a browser, open Settings › Devices › Add iPhone, then scan the code or type it in.
The details
And everything around it.
The parts you only notice when they are missing.
A private profile per account
Every account gets its own private profile, so logins, settings and history never mix.
Your logins stay put
Sign-in stays with each CLI. Miko never imports the credentials already on your Mac.
Crash recovery
Open conversations come back on launch, and Claude Code's
/clearand/resumeare followed.Checked runtimes
Codex runs only from app-private builds that Miko checks by version and hash, so a global upgrade can't break a setup that works.codex 0.159.3 · hash checked
Projects keep running
Switch workspaces and nothing stops. Each project lives in its own folder.
Instant workspaces
Press + for Workspace 1, 2 and so on, each in its own folder. Rename it later and the terminals stay.
Focus, minimize, reopen
Double-click a title to focus a terminal and press esc to go back. Minimized terminals keep running, and a stopped Codex terminal reopens from the account rail.
Model and effort per terminal
Each Codex terminal has its own model and effort, applied from its next turn. Claude and Grok switch with
/model.A ping when it asks
When a Codex terminal stops for a question, you get a macOS notification and a soft ping, even with Miko in the background. Other terminals chime in the app.
Dictation
Press fn twice and talk to any terminal with macOS Dictation.
Conversation drawer
Your conversation with Miko sits one click away. Drafts and terminals stay alive when you switch views.
