Refund and cancellation policy
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Paddle's Refund Policy applies to every order. This page adds Miko's own promises, and they never give you less than Paddle's policy or the law. The full rules are in our Terms of Service.
Cancel any time
- Cancel in the app (Settings → Plan → Cancel subscription), on our public Cancel subscription page, by e-mail or phone, or through the link in any Paddle e-mail or at paddle.net.
- You don't need to give a reason, and you get a written confirmation.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid month. You won't be charged again, and your machine runs until then.
- Afterwards we keep your data for 30 days, so you can export it or resume.
14 days to change your mind
- You can withdraw within 14 days of any new subscription, and within 14 days of your first renewal at full price after the launch month.
- Use Withdraw from contract here in Settings → Plan or in your confirmation e-mail. For consumers in the EU withdrawing from a first payment, it opens the withdrawal button in Paddle's customer portal; everyone else uses our short form. You can also e-mail or call us.
- You get at least a refund for the days you haven't used. Where Paddle's Refund Policy or your local law gives more, you get that. Today that means a full refund of the first payment for consumers in the EU, the EEA, Switzerland and the UK.
Other refunds
- Billing errors and double charges: refunded in full.
- A renewal charged after you cancelled: refunded in full.
- Forgot to cancel? Tell us within 24 hours of a renewal you haven't used, and we refund it and end the subscription.
- Our outage: if a fault on our side makes your machine unavailable for more than 4 hours in a month, tell us and we refund that time in proportion.
- We end the service without fault on your side: we refund the unused prepaid time.
- Apart from these cases and the 14 days above, Miko doesn't refund a month that has started. Your machine keeps running until the end of that month instead. Paddle may still give a refund under its own Refund Policy, and your legal rights if the service is faulty are not affected.
How refunds are paid
- Through Paddle, to the card you paid with. After a withdrawal we refund within 14 days of the day you told us; other refunds usually within 14 days.
- Amounts are calculated without tax, and Paddle refunds the matching tax with them.
- Ask us at contact@getmiko.app or Paddle at paddle.net.
Failed payments and payment disputes are covered in section 8 of our Terms of Service.
