Which agent runs where
| Agent | Local Mac app | Linux Host / Cloud |
|---|---|---|
| Claude Code | Provider setup installs it. Sign in with Claude Pro or Max, or with Anthropic Console (pay per use). | Always available. Claude sign-in, or an Anthropic API key. |
| Codex | Apple silicon only. Provider setup installs the official pinned builds. Sign in with ChatGPT Plus or Pro. | When enabled on that Host. ChatGPT sign-in, or an OpenAI API key. |
| Grok Build | Provider setup installs it. Sign in with SuperGrok. | On Miko Cloud machines (x64). An xAI API key can also run through OpenCode. |
| OpenCode | Provider setup installs it. An OpenRouter key, or Other API key. | When enabled on that Host. OpenRouter sign-in, or an API key from the catalog below. |
| Antigravity | Apple silicon only. Provider setup installs the Antigravity CLI. | On Miko Cloud machines (x64), with Google sign-in. |
A provider name in a registry does not mean its sign-in method is offered on every machine. Use the programs and methods shown by the selected machine. An unavailable or unready CLI must be resolved before an agent can start.
Subscription sign-in and API billing
Sign in through the provider’s own flow. A ChatGPT or Claude subscription is different from API billing. Check the account’s billing label before starting work, especially when the provider offers more than one login option. Miko does not sell model usage.
| Sign-in | Agent | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Claude Pro or Max subscription | Claude Code | Mac app, Linux Host, Cloud |
| Anthropic Console (pay per use) | Claude Code | Mac app, Linux Host, Cloud |
| ChatGPT Plus or Pro subscription | Codex | Mac app (Apple silicon), Linux Host, Cloud |
| SuperGrok subscription | Grok Build | Mac app, Cloud |
| OpenRouter account | OpenCode | Mac app, Linux Host, Cloud |
| Google account | Antigravity | Mac app (Apple silicon), Cloud |
OpenCode runs OpenRouter keys and, in the Mac app, Other API key accounts from OpenCode’s provider list. Direct Anthropic API accounts use Claude Code; direct OpenAI API accounts use Codex.
API-key accounts
In the web app, choose Add an API key and select the machine that will keep the key. Then choose a provider, give the account a name and select Check and add account. The machine checks the key and returns its model choices. Pick the model when starting an agent. Availability depends on that Host’s API-key capability and provider programs.
| Key provider | Agent program | Base URL |
|---|---|---|
| Anthropic | Claude Code | https://api.anthropic.com/v1 |
| OpenAI | Codex | https://api.openai.com/v1 |
| Google Gemini | OpenCode | https://generativelanguage.googleapis.com/v1beta |
| DeepSeek | OpenCode | https://api.deepseek.com |
| Mistral | OpenCode | https://api.mistral.ai/v1 |
| xAI | OpenCode | https://api.x.ai/v1 |
| Groq | OpenCode | https://api.groq.com/openai/v1 |
| Moonshot | OpenCode | https://api.moonshot.ai/v1 |
| Z.ai | OpenCode | https://api.z.ai/api/paas/v4 |
| OpenRouter | OpenCode | https://openrouter.ai/api/v1 |
These are the common key providers. In the Mac app, Other API key adds the rest of OpenCode’s provider list. A listed provider does not imply support for every model or every authentication method it offers. The account’s checked model list is the source for the model picker.
In the Mac app, choose Add an account, then OpenRouter or Other API key. OpenCode keeps the key in that account’s own profile on the Mac, and Miko never reads it. On the Mac, Claude Code can also bill through Anthropic Console.
Custom OpenAI-compatible endpoints
Do not paste a provider key into a general service-secret field. Provider credentials and service connections have different handling. Add AI provider keys in Accounts.
